UWM Neighborhood Strategy and
Vision Project
Status
The
University of Wisconsin -- Milwaukee (UWM) Neighborhood Strategy and Vision was
approved in principle by the City Plan Commission on Monday September 8th, 2003
with the condition (requested by the Third
District Alderman) that the
University Neighborhood Association (UNA) do a quarterly progress report on
implementation. Smithgroup/JJR and Hurtado Consulting were the consultant team
for the project.
Background
UWM, the near-university neighborhood groups, and
the Third District Alderman requested that the City of Milwaukee undertake a comprehensive
neighborhood strategy and vision process to identify and address critical issues
for the area immediately surrounding the University. Read more
Main Objectives
