UWM Neighborhood Strategy and Vision Project

Status
The University of Wisconsin -- Milwaukee (UWM) Neighborhood Strategy and Vision was approved in principle by the City Plan Commission on Monday September 8th, 2003 with the condition (requested by the Third District Alderman) that the University Neighborhood Association (UNA) do a quarterly progress report on implementation. Smithgroup/JJR and Hurtado Consulting were the consultant team for the project.

Background
UWM, the near-university neighborhood groups, and the Third District Alderman requested that the City of Milwaukee undertake a comprehensive neighborhood strategy and vision process to identify and address critical issues for the area immediately surrounding the University.  Read more
