A public information meeting on the plan was held November 17, 2009 at Alverno College. Elected officials, plan advisory group members, residents, business owners and Alverno staff and students attended the meeting, which included both an open forum for discussion and a presentation on the plan.

A design workshop was held August 18, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital Health Science Building. Participants came up with forward-thinking ideas for the future redevelopment of commercial corridors on the Southwest Side.
