A
community meeting on the Southwest Side Area Plan was held on
October 29, 2008 at Alverno College. An enthusiastic group of
about 40 area residents, business owners, students and elected
officials from Milwaukee, Greenfield and West Allis attended.
Alverno President Dr. Mary Meehan welcomed the participants
and DCD planners made a brief presentation on the planning
process. Most of the meeting was taken up by a lively
"mash-up" session, in which participants mapped and shared
thoughts about the
area. |
