Silver City Main Street District holds 2nd annual Asian Festival


Silver City Main Street District is bringing the East to West National Avenue again this year with the return of its Asian Festival on Sept. 20th, 2008 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

The annual Milwaukee festival to celebrate the city’s Asian cultural heritage takes place on National Avenue from 31st Street to Miller Park Way.

 

A variety of dance, martial arts and cooking demonstrations will take place on two stages. A parade and opening ceremony kick-off the event. » Program line up » News release PDF files

Silver City is one of six Main Street Milwaukee Districts, a program launched to revitalize the city’s commercial corridors to grow businesses and strengthen neighborhoods.
