BeeLievers Beyond the Stars engaged 22 youths in 2009 to design and apply original art work for two new neighborhood corner trash receptacles. The project gave some ownership of their neighborhood to the participants and demonstrated the power of working collaboratively to attain positive results. The project was supported by a grant awarded to NIDC by the Greater Milwaukee Foundation Small Scale Block Improvement program.
