Development Zones provide tax credits to businesses that locate or expand in them. Milwaukee's
zones offer prime locations with direct access to the Port of Milwaukee, the area railway system, General Mitchell International Airport and interstate highways.
Tax credits may be claimed for hiring disadvantaged workers and undertaking environmental remediation. Tax credits may be taken only on income generated by business activity in the zone.
