General Information

Photos

For every building on the property include a COLOR photo from each of the four sides of the building (front, back, left, right.) These four COLOR pictures are counted as one set. There are, however, a few special cases where a set of photos will not be four pictures. They are listed here:

New construction on an empty lot: One COLOR photo taken from the front of the lot equals a "set of photos".

Day care centers: In addition to a COLOR photo of each side of the building, you also need to include a COLOR photo of each corner of the play area. Each "set of photos" will contain eight pictures.

Group living arrangements: In addition to a COLOR photo of each side of the building, you also need to include a COLOR photo from each corner of the recreation area. Each "set of photos" contains eight pictures.

Feel free to include additional COLOR photos of the site that you feel would help the City evaluate your proposal; such as photos of parking areas, fences, signs, etc.

The COLOR photos must be mounted (or be taped or stapled) on an 8.5" x 11" (the size of this page) or an 8.5" by 14" sheet of stiff paper or cardboard. Please don’t use anything larger and please do not mount photos on foam-core board.

Remember:

  • Photos must be mounted. — Please do not use foam-core board.
  • Photos must be in color. — Color photocopies are acceptable.
  • Include the address of the property on each set of photos.
  • As a general rule, you want to provide enough pictures of your site to adequately show the entire area of the proposed use. — The context of the site is important.

We realize that it is not always possible to take photos of the sides of buildings that abut other buildings. The reason we are asking for photos is to allow the people who are reviewing your request to fully visualize the property. You may include additional pictures if you so desire.
