Fee Calculations
Fees to file an appeal with the Board of Zoning Appeals are established in the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. All fees are non-refundable. If paying by check, please make payable to "City of Milwaukee - Treasurer."
A fee of $100 is required along with your Notice of Appeal and Application for Review form and submittal materials. This $100 fee is used as a credit to your full filing fee if you choose to proceed with your appeal once staff members of the Zoning Administration Group (ZAG) have reviewed your proposal. ZAG will review your application, evaluate the quality of information that has been received, provide information to you regarding various city planning goals and objectives, and provide other relevant technical advice.
If you choose to pursue a zoning appeal, a fee will be charged according to the chart below. Please call 286-2501 or visit the Board office for confirmation of all fees prior to payment.
