West Side Area Plan
The West Side Area Plan was adopted by the Common
Council on December 1, 2009.
The West Side includes a variety of housing
options, several neighborhood parks and schools, a number of
active community organizations, two Business Improvement Districts,
and a wide range of commercial destinations, such as Midtown Center and The
Mosaic on Burleigh Main Street district. The area also includes a number of
regional attractions: St. Joseph’s Hospital, the VA Medical Center campus,
Miller Park, the Milwaukee County Zoo, Pettit National Ice Center, and a portion
of Wisconsin State Fair Park.
