The Main Street Milwaukee Program is seeking to designate two (2) new Main Street Districts in 2008.

Read the Main Street 2008 Program Application Guidelines
and Supplemental Materials.

Among other requirements in the Main Street 2008 Program Application Guidelines and Supplemental Materials packet, you are required to submit with your Letter of Intent the following items:
 

»

 One non-binding letter intent to apply to the program. A sample letter is included in the Main Street 2008 Program Application Guidelines and Supplemental Materials. The Letter should be signed by the Board Chair person and or/ the Executive Director of the applicant organization. Letters must be postmarked by January 11, 2008.
» Copies of audited certified 2004, 2005 & 2006 and 2007 year-to-date financial statements of the applicant organization.
» Proof of applicant agency’s ability and commitment to contributing 5% per year of the applicant organizations annual operating cost to the Main Street Operating Budget over the three year funding cycle.
» Demonstrated and documented proof of applicant agency’s capacity to fundraise.
» Proof that applicant agency is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) agency at the time of letter of intent submission.
» Applicant agency and it’s proposed Main Street boundaries are completely located within CDBG target area boundaries
» At least one (1) representative of the applicant’s organization must attend the Main Street Milwaukee Workshop on January 22, 2008 in order to be considered eligible for Main Street designation.
