Earn & Learn is the City’s program to assist young people make a successful transition to adulthood by providing opportunities to develop work-readiness skills while they earn wages working in government, community- and faith-based organizations and private sector businesses.

Earn & Learn, operated by the Department of City Development (DCD), is part of a regional effort to improve the quality of Milwaukee's labor force coordinated by the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board (MAWIB). Earn & Learn is also part of the Life Ventures Partnership, a collaborative public/private initiative to promote the future vitality of Milwaukee’s regional economy by preparing young people to become life-long learners, productive workers and self-sufficient citizens.
