General Information About RFP and Bid Notices

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (RACM)
plans to acquire 84 acres of the former Tower Automotive
facility near North 31st Street and West Capitol Drive in
December 2009. In the coming months RACM will be preparing a
number of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and bids for various
services and commodities. These services and commodities will
assist RACM with the property transition, site management, and
various redevelopment activities.
In general, the services will include: site security,
plumbing, electrical, landscaping services, asbestos
assessment, asbestos abatement, demolition, site maintenance,
rehab/construction, environmental services, and others.
The first RFP being released is for Compliance Monitoring
Services. See the announcement below.
Information regarding this, and upcoming RFPs and Bids, will
be made available through the City’s website

and the City’s E-Notify system. You can sign up for E-Notify
services by going to the City of Milwaukee’s homepage
www.city.milwaukee.gov
and clicking on the “Get Notices By E-Mail (E-Notify)” tab on
the left site of the screen.

Compliance Monitoring Services for EBE/RPP/LBE Programs, Wage
Requirements and Apprenticeship/On-the-job Trainee Goals
The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (RACM) is
seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Consultant”) to
evaluate and monitor contractors’ compliance with the
following contracting goals in conjunction with redevelopment
activities at the former Tower Automotive facility: Emerging
Business Enterprises (EBE), Local Business Enterprise Program
(LBE), Residence Preference Program (RPP), prevailing wage and
Apprenticeship/On-the-job Trainee goals.
